Each sign is paired with its opposite in the zodiac and Full Moon is when we feel and see this polarity at its height. Of course, a SuperMoon only intensifies this effect, and all three of our Full Moons so far this year have been SuperMoons – closest to the Earth and in close alignment with the Sun and Earth. We will see this SuperMoon effect again in September, October, November*. Now, Libra is revealed in its fullness. As Aries brings the spark of creation into manifestation through the creation of Self, Libra marks the turning point of consciousness away from the self and towards relationship with Other creating partnership, cooperation, balance and harmony. Although, Libra is a masculine, air sign mental in its expression, it is ruled by feminine Venus and the refinement and appreciation of the social graces, study and practice of the arts, and the highest ethics of business and commerce are highlighted. Libra will tolerate no less, and when etiquette has been breached expect a whirlwind of dissatisfaction, ‘an iron fist in a velvet glove’ until harmony is again restored. Allow the beauty of your enlightened heart of unconditional love and wisdom to take you inside and remember who you are, to bring that enlightened heart energy into your heart/mind and to dream and speak a new dream… one filled with only love, light, hope, beauty and amazing joy for life. Be centered in the peace that emanates from this beauty. There is nothing to do but dream from the place of the divine heart within ourselves. And when we do, we must know that only love can be born and expanded. Let this Being of Love give light and love to you and to your dreams.

When the Moon is full in Libra, that means the Sun is in Aries, a sign enamored with Self. Seasonally, the Sun’s time in Aries is our fresh start, the charging-ahead, the rampant extroversion of Spring. Aries says, "Let’s Go!" Fired up and restless to get underway, it’s a sign that rushes forward, often blissfully unaware of the needs of others. This yearly opposition sets up an exciting dynamic with the Aries-Libra polarity. To be the most glorified, radiant version of Me, and experiencing that fullness while in the equal, balanced company of We.
The Ascension Goddess
The Ascension Goddess’ journey into form and presence came after over several weeks in 2007. I was teaching a class on Intuitive Painting: A Journey through the Chakras. I had finished teaching the first class of seven, which works with the root or base chakra. We had left over red and black paint, so I encouraged two assistants of mine who stayed after class to grab the extra paint, some boards, and have at it with some expressive painting. Just let come through what wanted to express… Get your mind out of it and play, let the paint and Spirit tell you what to do.
When I got the red and black onto the board, I thought, "Hmmm, you are interesting. I wonder if I will keep you and who you will become." And that was it until two weeks later. I set the board aside with just the red and black paint and forgot about it for a while.
