The Sun has just moved into Aquarius on Friday, Jan. 20 and we move immediately into a New Moon at 2º triggering an early Chinese New Year on Monday accompanied by Mars going retrograde until April 13. A busy astrological weekend!
So, we leave behind the earth/water influences of Capricorn and Cancer (father and mother) of the last Full Moon cycle of Jan. 9 and enter the fixed power domain of Aquarius/Leo in air and fire signs. Each element, earth, water, air, fire has a power sign, and they are opposite each other forming a continuum. The Moon is full in its own sign, Cancer that most fertile and feminine of signs. There is an audible sigh of comfort and relief to be in such a tangibly receptive energy. Or is it just the relief of completion of the holiday festivities? Such a whirlwind since the last Full Moon…
