Recently I was commissioned to paint the wise, gentle Ascended Master White Eagle, who is a Master of the Brotherhood of Light (also known as the Great White Brotherhood of Ascended Masters who are here to guide humanity in its evolution and ascension.)

My very intuitive client told me she became aware of White Eagle’s presence after she prayed for healing after getting second degree burns. As she engaged with this light wisdom and love, her physical healing expanded. White Eagle then gave her the message “12 Rivers of Light.” She asked me to give her more information on that in the soul guide essence painting session.

When I sat to paint White Eagle, I asked him to open a portal to his wisdom, his love and his message for my client. It was apparent this energy and wisdom was universal and beyond the personal. When I asked White Eagle to tell me more about the “12 Rivers of Light” he first told me “12 Tribes of Israel”.

Most of mankind has misunderstood this reference. More accurately the 12 tribes of Israel are the 12 Angelic Human Tribes. Each one carries a strand of the 12 strands of DNA of the whole or illuminated human.

White Eagle first showed me twelve white feathers coming from his crown, each being the activated star code or harmonic of the DNA and Angelic Human Tribe. These feathers are activating the quantum field for the unification of the DNA.

He then showed me rivers of rainbow light flowing from White Eagle’s mouth. As I brought White Eagle into form on the canvas, the vision shifted from rivers of light into strands of light undulated as DNA strands.

Each stroke of the paint brush engaged the quantum field and not only brought forth imagery, but a vibrational frequency to engage the star codes. The entire composition of the painting is a portal to allow the downloading of the energies that return humanity to harmony.

As the painting unfolded, the golden light came in behind the head of White Eagle, much like the halos of a Jesus or Mary image. Yet, it was elongated rather than circular. When the painting was finished it was apparent that this was not just an auric field of a great master of light, but a key hole, and a portal opening to cosmic wisdom and the harmonics of the star code DNA activation to flood forth into this dimension.

The gentleness of White Eagle came forth reminding me of many keys to awakening, to being in unity. Purity of the heart, of thought, of intention, of word, and of action; innocence, kindness, forgiveness, love and unification are all words that identify qualities or octaves of these activating harmonics. Each octave assists us in releasing all unconsciousness and darkness.

As we activate the harmonics of each strand of DNA, the illusion of separation will disappear, and we will RE-MEMBER our true essence and light. This is the process we are in now, a RE-MEMBERING who we are.

To consciously engage our remembering is to focus our attention in our hearts. There we will find the soul song, or vibration of our true divinity.

Engage with the imagery of White Eagle and open to receive the healing, and the activation of these energies into your consciousness.

Gemini New Moon – Sun and Moon in Gemini 18º

We have a Mercury-ruled chart at New Moon in Gemini so networking, mental agility, fast-talking sociability, and flexibility will certainly be highlighted. Gemini gets its designation as ‘The Twins’ from the two bright stars, Castor and Pollux, in the constellation Gemini. Here we embrace all forms of duality-the conscious and unconscious, love and hate, me and you, faith and doubt-experience each side of the continuum, and with the flexibility of a mutable, air sign, integrate, synthesize and transmute the difference into a new perception. Because Gemini is blessed with the gift of communication in all forms – speaking, teaching, negotiating, translating, convincing, writing…, they are able to bridge and link others minds’ with their myriad of experiences. Fleet-footed Mercury comes to us from Roman mythology, but the lineage is through the more ancient forms of Hermes in Greek mythology and Thoth, God of Knowledge, in Egyptian culture. Mercury, our fastest moving planet and closest to the Sun, is considered neutral and often androgynous. He’s just the messenger; it’s just information. Considered highly adaptable to his environment, he can adapt and interpret information from one arena to the next. Depth is not Mercury’s forte, and be aware of the slightly deceitful, weak-willed nature of this airy sign.

Mercury is in Cancer at New Moon so what we will most want to communicate are our feelings and emotional needs, and we will be able to listen and receive others (the receptive aspect of communication). Mercury is in exact position to directly oppose Pluto and square Uranus forming a T-square. Asteroid Ceres held this same position at last New Moon, and Vesta, Goddess of the Sacred Hearth, was here at Full Moon. So some evolving and disruption is definitely going on at the personal levels as well as collective levels, and Mercury now in Cancer is helping to shift our thinking/communicative function to our feeling-centered self. Our emotional bodies will answer our questions, show us where we need to be if we can open and acknowledge our receptive channels. With Pluto/Uranus involved, we might be letting the truth come to light on something we’ve been holding deep in the recesses of our emotional holding tank. Telling the truth about our needs will free us to move along the path we need to go.

Earlier in the week, Mercury completed a Grand Trine in water signs with the slower moving Saturn and Neptune (in 5º Scorpio/Pisces). Now Venus is in that position. Water Grand Trine will give us access to the feminine, receptive, fluid, intuitive aspects of our nature. Oh Happy Day! We need that respite from the driving period of growth we have just experienced in the past month-long eclipse period. We’re in for an extended period of ease and grace now introduced by Mercury and Venus each moving through the degrees that form the Grand Trine, but by the last week of June, the Sun will take up that position just before expansive, generous Jupiter changes sign to Cancer and moves in to trine position for practically the whole month of July. A Grand Trine provides experience with being in sync with the ‘flow of life’. You may feel like you are unfocused and can’t get things done, but that’s just the point. Going with just what comes up without resistance or ideas about what YOU think should be happening is a good practice for all of the caffeine-fueled, list makers among us. Give Spirit some room to provide you with just what you need. Just be clear on your path and about what you want to create and experience how Spirit provides for you. Enjoy a good cosmic laugh on yourself as you watch yourself ‘pushing the river’. Play more, drift, let your imagination have its way with you, relax! This communion with the feminine aspects of life will serve us well as we enter a more volatile fall season.

More subtly, there is a second Grand Trine in evidence made up of South Node in the power sign of Scorpio, Vesta, ruler of the sacred temple hearth, and Chiron, healer and teacher – all in water signs. This suggests a path for finding and releasing our feminine power by acknowledging the Sacred Feminine in ourselves, our planet, our partners and bringing healing and renewal back to this ancient vein that has been underground for thousands of years. The Grand Trines are linked through Mercury, so be ready to receive the message and The Messenger.

Grand Trines aren’t known for their dynamic energy, only their easeful nature. The Pluto/Uranus square that is on-going 2012-2015 is just the needed tension and reminder that we are in a major cultural shift period. Although Jupiter in Cancer at 5º will be creating beneficial positive effects in July, by the time it moves to 11º in mid August, it will be creating a potentially volatile T-square with Pluto/Uranus. So practice and strengthen acceptance, forgiveness and love for all that arises and dissipates before you.

Three notable retrogrades this month: Neptune in Pisces turns retrograde for 5 months on June 7th and Mercury in Cancer will retrograde from June 26-July 20 with a week before and after when it slows its movement to nearly a standstill and intensifies its energy. Chiron goes retrograde on June 16th until late November.

So by the end of June, Chiron and four planets will be in retrograde motion, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto, fueling our inward focus and desire for life to move at a manageable pace where we can use our energy for self evaluation and allow the planet’s nature to seed new ideas within us.

Juno, ruler of committed relationship and partnership, squares the North and South Nodes suggesting we need to continue ‘to engage in the challenge of relationship’, but she is also in trine to the Sun and Moon in Gemini, so there is much support for learning and growth. The Nodes are where our greatest learning take place so expect that edge of fear/excitement to be stimulated, and it is also where we have brought forth issues into this life because we feel ready and strong enough to deal with energies from the distant past. Juno says, ‘work to heal your lingering and long-standing relationship issues from the deep past.’ Juno will continue to relate to the North/South Nodes at next Full Moon, but without the benefit of the trine and in a very stressful aspect instead. Prepare the soil and lay the seeds now within your relationships so you can better weather any power surge energy challenges at Full Moon. New Moon is always the time we’re given to let go and re-set our intentions for the new cycle about to unfold.

Full Moon in Sagittarius/Lunar Eclipse

Support and ease is abundant in the Full Moon chart and at the same time, challenges and tensions are strong in this powerful, amplified window. Keep in mind three interacting factors for this Moon:

1-Lunar eclipse

2-SuperMoon! (Which means the Moon is closest to the Earth, and Sun, Moon, Earth are in alignment to each other in a straight arrow fashion)

3-Exact Pluto square Uranus aspect period May 20 (third of seven squares from 2012 to 2015)

We are completing a notable growth period provided by the three-eclipse container of the last month and fueled by the awakening of the solar flares. With 2012-13 the peak in the 11-year sunspot cycle, the sunspots, so rapid fire in 2012 have remained quiet all year until now. Currently, totally active! They held their fire until we needed some extra fuel for the growth we have experienced in the last eclipse month. We’re being stretched, prodded, pressured and examined to see what we’re made of, and what we value enough to show up for. Windows like these help us destabilize, lose the familiar, and get out of our well-developed minds and get a glimpse of Spirit’s intention for our highest good. Our bodies don’t like it; resistance surfaces, but destabilization brings our best shot for regrouping, expanding and shepherding in the higher frequencies, quickened time, and greater balance our planet is now ready for.

At the same time, there is such effortless, easeful trine energy available here especially from the water signs-our emotional, receptive, fluid nature where we just tap in and intuitively understand what is going on from our deep knowingness. This trine water energy is part of our learning as well at this time – how to be fluid, receive, use our feminine powers of cooperation. Being connected feels so nourishing now – to others, to Spirit, to Nature, to our own hearts. If we don’t let the pressure of the dense physical illusion move us into fear (and there is plenty of reason to go there!), then we can tap into the frequencies that are supporting us in this extremely creative, exciting time.

It’s a dance! A balancing of pressure and surrender and the Sun’s shift into Gemini is just the energy we need to lighten the dense quality of our physicality so more miraculous energies of the invisible world can be made manifest through each of us. Part of the turn of 2012 relates to turning the corner on this planet of not only masculine polarity and violence, but in the denseness our bodies hold. Lighten up! Allow spaciousness. Give Spirit some room to work miracles and give you your heart’s desire. We are breaking the container we hold collectively of the suffering, hardship and loss of connection to Spirit and our planet of the last 2000+ years. Let’s allow this Gemini/Sagittarius Full Moon to work with our minds, thinking and connecting processes, beliefs, interpretations, and visionary abilities to create a larger, richer and more vibrant, abundant container for ourselves. We need to ‘hundred monkey’ this frame of mind, and this is the Moon for it.

Venus, Mercury and gift-giving Jupiter are all happily aligned in Gemini. In fact, if you look at the sky just after sunset this weekend, you will see these three heavenly bodies clustered together shining like diamonds in the western sky. Mercury is powerful in its own sign and ruler of the Gemini Sun; Jupiter in Gemini rules the full Sagittarius Moon. Venus is also in Gemini and in the same degree as Mercury – perfect support for playing with your mind and mental habits in new ways. The trio, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, are supporting Juno, Goddess of Committed Relationship, who is challenging and squaring the North and South Nodes. The Nodes represent what we have brought in from the past (South) and the cutting edge of where we are growing and learning (North). The challenge is in fixed, power signs (Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius) so it represents a long-standing pattern that needs to be moved in the way we hold our personal relationships.

If we back out and look at a bigger picture, Pluto squaring Uranus is affecting our planet and our consciousness with an extended period of transformative forces and revolutionary change. We have to look at the traditional, calcified structures within our society and ourselves and submit them to the radical change demanded by Uranus. These two square again on November 1st, in the spring and fall of 2014, and for the last time in the spring of 2015. In the Full Moon chart, it is Vesta, Goddess of the Sacred Temple Flame, who is exactly opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus. Vesta is the feminine part of us that preserves our sexual/creative energy for focused dedication to a personal calling (sometimes sacred, artistic or enterprising). So Vesta is challenging the status quo and encouraging us to clarify from deep within our heart’s sanctuary where we want to concentrate and devote our energies.

The awakening our planet is experiencing will not move forward without the influences of the feminine aspects of ourselves holding a core position. We are all part of the shift from the constructs of cause and effect Newtonian physics to quantum physics. An eclipse in Gemini/Sagittarius has the potential to move our mental energies to a place that can encompass even greater capacities focused through the heart. Our very bodies must evolve from an electro-magnetic based manifestation to a more crystalline field with far greater abilities to connect with our planet, heal and nourish our bodies, manifest with ease, and utilize all the support available to us from the invisible worlds. Everything will be amplified during this eclipse period, so let’s consciously put forth our thoughts, prayers, intentions, and visualizations to activate the highest good for all and the best possible future.

New Moon ~ Eclipse of the Sun, Sun and Moon in Taurus 19º May 9, 2013, 6:29 PM Mountain Daylight Time (May 10, 12:29 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

Eclipses are cyclical focal points. They reappear on the same degree in 19-year cycles aligned with the movement of the North and South Nodes through the signs. Journey back in your mind’s eye to this time in 1994 when The North Node was last in Scorpio and the South Node in Taurus as it is now. Who were you then? We had already entered the current period of rapid expansion and transformation, although it had not yet accelerated to the point we are currently experiencing.

Our current three-eclipse container spanning a month is most powerful here with the New Moon eclipse of the Sun, our source of light, heat and energy. This solar eclipse expresses through the sign of Taurus, ruled by Venus. At this New Moon, both Sun and Moon are in Taurus close to the South Node with Mars, Mercury, Pallas Athena and Sedna*, a dwarf planet added to our solar system (consciousness) in 2003 – all of this manifesting through Taurus.

The archetype of Taurus, a feminine, fixed earth sign teaches about finding what we truly value, the practicality of manifesting right here and now, titillating the senses, appreciating beauty in nature and the social pleasures of surrounding oneself with those you love. Venus has rulership of two signs – Libra and Taurus. In Libra, a masculine, air sign, Venus is mental, fair, balanced, discriminating, willing to negotiate. But in Taurus, Venus lends an earthy, voluptuous and affectionate nature, patience and practicality, and an industrious, productive work ethic with a flair for accumulating money and resources. It is said that many bankers are Tauruses! (Venus rules finances.) Taurus can be stubborn and dig in their heels when challenged. Change and surrender are not their strong suit, but loyalty, integrity, and personal magnetism are.

Taurus rules the neck and throat, tongue, voice and thyroid, stocks, bonds, banking, art dealing, jewelry, beautiful possessions, and what you value and accumulate. Watch for stiff necks and shoulders, sore throats, money difficulties this Moon as a sign of energy blocked from flow.

These are rarified times with new, higher frequency energies available to our planet now that we are moving past the end of a number of major time cycles and moving into uncharted territory. Eclipse periods always feel more intensified because of the precise alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth, but these times are absolutely untethered in terms of velocity! One can feel that multiple frequencies are available at any one time and this is reflected in the Moon chart. Clearly operating is the denser frequency of our imprinting and habitual way of thinking and behaving that holds the structures of our various political, educational, commercial and financial systems together (not to mention our ego structures), and simultaneously and more inspiringly, there is the stimulating and exhilarating energies of heart-centered frequencies encouraging us to acknowledge our selves as a physical manifestation of the divine here on Earth! Choose consciously in every moment which frequency you want to be participating in.

An eclipse in Taurus is like a giant workshop in the sky, free to all, and a clear call to learn to manifest the divinity of our soul essence right here in physical reality as fully as we are able. With an eclipse and the blockage of the electro-magnetic field of the Sun for a short period of time, we can reset our intention, orientation and focus and drop what does not resonate at the new frequency that we choose to align with. There is an underlying feeling of chaos, confusion, and insecurity with the darker parts of our psyche shaking loose. It’s an on-going practice, and we find ourselves shifting between the old denser ways of behaving and thinking, and yet learning to let go, to trust Spirit and our hearts and accepting what is presenting itself in the moment. When eclipses align with the South Node as these three do, it’s a time for letting go of the past, for forgiveness, for realigning our self worth, for drawing clear boundaries, and for learning to manifest through the quantum field that connects us to all that is. Taurus/Scorpio teaches us to clarify what we truly value, love and what has worth for us and when that is clear in our hearts unequivocally, the universe lines up powerfully to provide it and to help us let go of what stands in the way.

The feminine influences of the asteroids are very active before and after this eclipse chart. Ceres, the Mother Goddess, is directly activating the third exact square of Pluto and Uranus on May 20th pointing to the release of that powerful force for societal change coming through our embracing of the Feminine principles in all aspects of our being. Are lessons of receiving, self love, inclusion, or support seeking your attention?

The multifaceted influence of Pallas Athena is exactly conjunct this Sun and Moon. She brings to the fore our ability to translate our creative intelligence into ethical action, and she will help us to manifest our goals with wisdom, objectivity and strategic planning. She will bring common sense and give our artistic selves a boost in creating beauty through color and working with the earth. She is also an energetic healer, so forms like Reiki, hypnosis, homeopathy, etc. have a strong ally here. Let’s not minimize her rulership of weapons and the art of war, martial arts and non-violence – we may need her cool head and clear vision as Pluto and Uranus move into exact square alignment this month.

Juno, Sacred Consort and ruler of committed relationship, is squaring the Nodes and reminding us that equality and balance must be brought into every relationship, and these are issues we need to attend to in order to release the past and to grow into vibrant partnership. Pay close attention to relationship fears that surface at this time: abandonment, betrayal, sexuality issues, emotional manipulation, projection, powerlessness – you name it, it’s just endless!

Venus, ruler of this chart, slips out of Taurus and into Gemini earlier in the day of New Moon, so this brings a lighter, wittier, social and much more communicative influence to this Taurus line up. Because New Moon is always a time when you want to clarify and refine exactly what you want to create in the next moon cycle, this Gemini influence will help us express our intentions, write them, and generally give them life by sharing them.

Scorpio Eclipse Motif Metamorphosis; thawing out and cracking open; not around, but through; the poison is the cure; emotional/psychic sovereignty; sexual healing. Dark Side: conspiracies; desperate acts that go against the conscience; selling your soul to survive; harsh reality; betrayal; corruption; deception; occulted agendas of control; manipulation and binding energies.First of Three!

We’re entering an extended eclipse period. The first is a Scorpio Full Moon with a (partial) lunar eclipse on April 25th (2013) at 3:57 pm EDT. This initiates a release of what’s tightly wound up as a seed of potential.

It could be unpack a bundle of something that’s perceived as dark or dangerous. Eclipses are known for shocking events, so it could be more like your suitcase bursting open in the airport. What’s usually kept under wraps, is made visible — a truth revealed.

Scorpio’s gift is penetrating to what’s locked up, denied or in the shadows. There can be a chain reaction of healing or destruction at this eclipse. Keep in mind it’s just the kick off eclipse, so it’s effects are felt into May and beyond.

Scorpio’s themes are compulsive desires, passion (often controlled), secrets, emotional power, and sexuality. Down-to-Earth issues of debt, shared investments, and getting to the roots of disease could also surface. Instead of putting band-aids on pain and managing symptoms, this eclipse inspires looking at soul sickness, toxic people and atmospheres, bondage (sometimes subtle) and control of all kinds. Taurus-Scorpio at 6 Degrees

You could see stirring or surprises related to Taurus-Scorpio 6 degrees in your chart. Some might confront psychic realities with Saturn so close at hand, and how the inner reality affects the outer reality. An example is being bound up in a soul sucking drama or trauma. Is something leaving you so overwrought that you’re not investing in personal creativity or pleasure? A healing catharsis is possible, that frees up more vital energies, for you to flourish.

With the determination of Saturn, this eclipse could be a personal turning point. The changes could be deeply internal and take time to ripple out.

There are many oppositions on the Taurus-Scorpio axis. Sun, Venus and Mars in earthy Taurus are strung opposite to the Moon and Saturn (in Scorpio).

Saturn Sobriety

Saturn is a major player in this eclipse, at 8 Scorpio — there is direct engagement with the eclipse, and opposition to Venus and Mars. Saturn is the reality planet, so things could look and feel serious. If things look bleak, hang in there! Sometimes Saturn’s gift takes awhile to unwrap.

In her book on Eclipses, Celeste Teal writes, "Saturn is slow and deliberate, and its influence is associated with conditions that seem to drag on forever. Efforts appear stalled and frustrating barriers slow progress as Saturn seeks perfection." Teal writes that "if Saturn does come into range of an active eclipse," it’s a drawn out process, with much learning and tending to "flaws."

I’d add that with Saturn in the sign of the deep psyche (soul), the healing is profound, thorough and/or extreme. Events could happen that feel like hitting a wall, or pierce the denial of what’s already happening. It may be hard to see a way through. But if you follow the instincts of your inner healer, and trust, the healing will eventually come. It may involve making radical changes and coming clean to what you’re plugged in to.

Mars the Catalyst

Astrologer Teal says when Saturn and Mars are involved in an eclipse, major events happen. Here we have Mars as an instigator, like Saturn, in close alignment to the eclipse. Be alert to triggering conflicts, especially with people that have kept their feelings bottled up.

My sense is that Saturn is going to test the structure of the psyche (Scorpio). Are you prepared to weather the storm? Are you able to resist hysteria and other destabilizing waves of emotion running through "out there"?

I see Mars Taurus, along with Venus, inviting each of us to fall through any psychic false bottoms to something solid. A sense of (relative) security comes from watching our triggers, and cultivating spiritual self-containment. Mars is motivation and fight! And with Saturn, we find the inner strength to overcome what keeps us from pleasure, contentment, the development of natural gifts.

Taurus Landing

The next lunation is in Taurus, and is a solar eclipse (May 9th). I’m thinking about the Tower Card for this Scorpio Full Moon, and how a change in mindset is shattering, but leads to solid footing. Scorpio is magical, and magic has been defined (by Dion Fortune) as the ability to "change consciousness at will." So what’s outed at this first eclipse can be purged and integrated. What’s in need of an exorcism, expunging, detoxing?

One possibility is dealing with an addiction, or just surviving day to day. What’s the path to thriving? At the Taurus New Moon, there can be a reset to invest in what’s nourishing, and will grow.

This is a gold-embossed invitation to deeply root out what keeps you plugged in to the trauma-matrix. You might see by now how this matrix is possessing the minds and souls of many — possession is one of Scorpio’s themes.

What’s in your control? What kinds of effort and perhaps a daily commitment will it take to make it real? Now is the time to banish the demonic, the energy vampires and controllers. And to get to the essence of what keeps you from fulfilling your desires.

The energy and fire of Spring rising is strengthened by an alignment of multiple planets in Aries at this New Moon.  Even though New Moon is the dark of the moon that calls us to attend to our inner soul needs and reset and renew according to the sign where it resides, Aries has little use for cave dwelling and the arts of contemplation!  Mars-ruled Aries wants action, adventure, and proof that it exists as an individual free from the cultural restraints of the previous collective signs of winter (Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces).  Aries is a vibrant, masculine, yang energy eager and enthusiastic to begin new ventures, take risks, explore where others have feared to tread, and embody the qualities of the young warrior having left the castle to find his place and what he’s made of out in the world.In this New Moon chart, six planets are in Aries- Venus in her Amazon Warrior Queen garb, Mars aggressive in his own sign, Eris known as the Goddess of Strife, and the Sun and the Moon providing the solar/lunar power for the whole show.  The ideal here would be to bring light and healing to the Divine Masculine and Inner Warrior who protects and serves the Truth and good of all.  It is the work of our planet now to rebalance the masculine after more than two thousand years of masculine dominance that has left the planet sorely out of balance with the feminine forces.  We know our planet is out of balance; we now are being called to release the dark side of that masculine reign (dominance, separation) and become conscious of healing the planet.  At the powerful Winter Solstice point of December 21, 2012, we have passed the point that was as far from the Light as we could get, and we are now shifting toward the long road Home.  Let the centered, powerful and dedicated among us break open the shell of the masculine and free that loyal, brave heart.  Let the healing tears spill that reside under the anger.  Let your creativity and passion lead you on the path of healing and balance.  Go where you’re called and create from your alignment with Spirit.

Eris and Mars at 22º Aries within 2º of the Sun and Moon are very volatile.  As I write this, North Korea is getting loud and raucous.  The US, Japan and South Korea are responding.  Eris is in the middle of this. One of the newest dwarf planets added to our solar system in 2005-06 and eventually named after the sister of Ares, Greek God of War.  Eris, Goddess of Discord and Strife, loves havoc, contention and rivalry and revels in the bloodshed of war.  She caused the Trojan War when she was understandably left off the guest list of an Olympian wedding and instead, rolled in a golden apple inscribed ‘to the fairest’ amidst the three most powerful goddesses creating just the kind of rivalry Eris had hoped for and the outcome was the Trojan War.  Even when she was discovered as part of our solar system, it caused a huge uproar in the IAU, International Astronomical Union, and they felt obliged to redefine ‘planet’.  As a result, Pluto got demoted and Ceres, The Great Mother asteroid, got promoted.  Eris promotes strife wherever she resides.  And she resides prominently in this New Moon chart with Mars in Aries and lit up by the Sun/Moon in Aries.  We will have to observe just how powerful she is as we don’t often see her so prominently placed as we do in this New Moon in Aries chart.  Hopefully, the close proximity of Venus to Mars will have a balancing influence that enhances negotiation and social restraint.  This shadow side of the feminine warrants just as much healing as does the masculine.

Pluto moves retrograde on April 12 and continues moving backward from 11º to 8º Capricorn until September.  Pluto is the force that evolves us, so we will review what is not serving our highest good and we will grow by letting go and bringing to the light the power that lies in the shadow.  Speak your truth.  Use the courage of Aries to fuel the new life of fairness and balance that we all feel in our hearts and were sent here to manifest.   

Looking forward, be aware at Full Moon next, April 25, we enter a three eclipse package ~ lunar, solar, lunar.  A magical time when anything can happen as the heavens reflect to us the perfect alignments of the solar system.  Taurus/Scorpio will be our teachers then; our lessons will be in the areas of resources, self worth, what is most valuable to us, where our true power lies and what we need to surrender to reveal it.  Sagittarius will guide the final eclipse broadening our vision and challenging our beliefs.  Make sure your cup is empty so you can receive the abundant blessings available during this time.

Full Moon Sun in Aries, Moon in Libra ~ 6º Wed. March 27, 2013, 3:28 AM MDT

Just a week after the Equinox when the Sun is poised at equal day and equal night, we bask in the light of a Full Moon in Libra, the sign of balance. Here in the northern hemisphere we begin the zodiac cycle anew as the Sun enters 0º Aries at vernal equinox. Each of the four seasons begins with a cardinal sign in a different element:

Spring begins with Aries – cardinal fire

Summer begins with Cancer – cardinal water

Autumn begins with Libra – cardinal air

Winter begins with Capricorn – cardinal earth

The quality of cardinality is initiating, thrusting forth into new endeavors, stimulating, self- assertive, active, energetic, creative – a driving force in the universe. Cardinal signs give ambition, executive ability and constructive action. So, we begin our seasonal onset with the Sun moving into Mars-ruled Aries and the Moon full in Venus-ruled Libra. Mars and Venus are polar opposites in nature. Mars, God of War, is masculine, fiery, forthright and direct in action confronting the world with brash, bold activity. Aries is The Adventurer, The Pioneer seeking to express the unique, youthful joy of "I Am". The Sun in Aries is in its exaltation, well placed to express itself in full, radiant masculine power. The Moon full in Libra as Aries opposite sign says, ‘Now that you know your power of self in the material world, let’s balance that with relationship and awareness of the other." Libra moves us beyond ‘me’ to ‘we’. Libra being an air sign is mental in nature and masculine and with its Venus ruler wants peace to predominate and interactions to feel harmonious, formality to be respected, and the aesthetic social graces of culture – music, art, drama, poetry – to be given their due. Libra values equality and justice thus the symbol of the scales, and when not lost in indecisiveness from weighing every point of view, is reasonable and sympathetic and able to see the ‘big picture’ that is the gift of the air sign perspective. John Lennon was a Libra, also Oscar Wilde, Gandhi and Eleanor Roosevelt who was the social conscience of American president Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great Depression and World War II.

The Full Moon in Libra allows the vital force to rest and experience the ease of balance, that is, if the hot Aries Sun doesn’t activate over-stimulation – a good time to follow the ‘all things in moderation rule’. Nourish your Libra-ruled adrenals, watch sugar addiction and maintain your acid-alkaline balance at this moon time. Vitality (chi) is strong with the Sun in Aries use it for heavy lifting and marshalling your forces for initiating and manifesting something you have been strategizing about. Watch for head bangs, wounds, accidents, burnout, too much heat (anger).

Which brings us to the condition of the Full Moon chart. The Sun in Aries has three planets closely influencing it: Venus exact, volatile Uranus, and Mars made stronger and more self-assertive in its own sign. Coupled with the Sun’s magnetic energy, Uranus can bring unexpected and unpredictable events upfront and personal, and when you add the instinctual desire and dynamic action-oriented ways of Mars you have a recipe for fearless, constructive change if channeled positively or an impulsive, aggressive fanaticism that erupts on unsuspecting targets.

With Pluto, God of the Underworld and holder of the shadow, exactly squaring Mars and this Aries group, as well as the Full Moon, we have the potential for eruption of buried material, frustrated power issues, secrets, toxic materials of all sorts. Certainly freeing of the shadow reveals the power and light available and this is what we seek in order to evolve, but when we pass through this kind of portal as we do now, the crisis-provoking square energy in the hands of those who at their core feel utterly powerless in these challenging times of dissolution of what had been believed to be stability can be a notably impulsive, destructive, self-righteous energy. This activation of ‘revolutionary power’ used by the creative, shamanic and those who have the discipline and knowledge to handle these energies skillfully is a powerful opportunity. The Full Moon is collective energy and each one is called on to acknowledge and release those lines and pools of powerlessness within that are up surging with the energy of Spring and this most powerful of Full Moons. This energy began in the days before Full Moon and continues through the end of the month and beyond.

The Finger of God triangular formation created by Pluto and Saturn at the base with Jupiter at the apex is still active with Jupiter also exactly square Chiron at 11º (Gemini-Pisces) lending deep support and catalyzing energy for healing and urging us to work with the beliefs and mental constructs that hold old wounding experiences in place. Every where I look people seem to be turning over the old rocks in their psychological lives and seeing what dark, creepy-crawler things lie beneath (pain and suffering be gone!). Much collective healing is taking place. What you do for yourself, you do in support of healing for all.

Although Mars, Sun and Venus have moved on into Aries, Mercury remains behind still in early Pisces with Neptune and Chiron. This gives us continued access to the transcendental realms and our inner knowingness helping us expand our understanding in ways that perceive the whole, interconnected organism of life.

Sagittarius New Moon – 21º

The last New Moon of the calendar year allows us to make very clear just what we want to create in the next cycle. We have completed the intensified period of shift marked by the solar/lunar eclipse pair that started Nov. 13. Whew! Intense doesn’t even come close to describe all that has transpired in just one short Moon cycle. Personally, I am awed by the depth and age of psychological/karmic material surfacing in me presently to be turned over to Spirit to recreate a new way of being in this world. With all the collective focus on the end of this year as a major transition point, it’s the perfect time to put your attention on a question like, ‘if I could change one thing in my life that would really make a difference, what would it be?’ Then, point that question in the direction of your relationships, finances, health, happiness or wherever you want to affect change and move to higher ground. By actually writing or verbalizing what those desires are at this time, you can gather significant support for your intentions. As the Moon increases from New to Full Moon, and as the days lengthen and bring more light at Solstice, we have the power of increase at our fingertips. Use it; ride the wave; harness it. On so many levels, we are being offered the portals, tools, and opportunities to tune in to unprecedented spiritual evolution.

Sagittarius, a fiery, enthusiastic and optimistic seeker of truth and knowledge shoots an arrow far over the horizon questing for an expansive perspective. That Archer is searching for experience and meaning and the philosophic purpose of our existence. There’s gypsy in the Sag blood as they explore and travel the globe while opening their veins to foreign cultures, ideas, and peoples. The Sag ruler, Jupiter, largest of the planets, expands everything with which it comes in contact engaging with confidence and generosity. With Jupiter in Gemini since June, we’re spinning pretty fast on the mental planes, with a tendency to be overbooked and rushed with limited down time. Jupiter in Gemini for a year is expanding our abilities to acclimate to a quicker pace. Ideas come quickly, but focus is at a premium and harder to come by. Make something tangible happen in your life that brings in strong positive energy that expands your life in some significant way. Travel-good; study-good, especially metaphysical/spiritual subjects.

In this New Moon chart and also in the Winter Solstice chart of December 21 is a configuration made up of Saturn and Pluto in mutual reception strengthening both of their expressions – Saturn contributing serious discipline and the will to focus and accomplish on the physical plane and Pluto demanding deep transformation of our institutionalized values, our laws/rules created by greed and domination, and our antiquated views of what produces status, authority, and leadership. Both of these heavies (Saturn and Pluto) are pointed at our chart ruler, Jupiter, and forming a ‘Finger of God’ or Yod configuration. We saw this ‘Finger of God’ in the last chart with Venus at the apex; now it’s Jupiter’s turn to be the focal point for a strong influx of energy. The message is: you must know what you want to expand and reach toward. What do you stand for? What is the meaning and purpose of your life and how can you best bring that to those around you? That’s why New Moon and Winter Solstice are such important points because they carry the energy of forgiving the past and starting anew with renewed commitment.

New Moon and Uranus turning direct are practically simultaneous on December 13. Uranus has been retrograde since July 13 and will not reach its full forward position until mid March. Since July, change has been focused inward, contact with our inner knowing has increased, and our outer changes have been on hold for external circumstantial reasons. Now, we can begin to move forward with our goals and plans and take advantage of this liberation from the deep, DEEP clearing work 2012 has brought to so many. Uranus in Aries will accelerate soon and will dazzle us with the swiftness that it can bring about change. Uranus hasn’t been in Aries in 84 years and it plans to stay in this courageous, self-reliant, risk-taking sign for six more adventurous years. The time we have spent in contact with our own higher consciousness will now be felt in our physically manifested lives.

The feminine aspects of the chart, Venus and the asteroid goddess elements are very active here. The energetic strengthening and balancing of the feminine can be felt as our hearts expand, our awareness of the love that surrounds us expands, our consciousness of our undeniable connection to all living beings expands. We see the hand of the feminine as we nurture and support, as we deepen our vulnerability and connection in relationship, as we are uplifted by joining together in community and family of like-minded, celebratory souls. Greed and judgment no longer seem like such satisfying morsels on which to base a life.

Look for a wonderful meteor shower, the Geminids, active December 6-19 between 12 and 2 AM MST and peaking on New Moon night, Dec 13-14, where the darkness of the night will enhance viewing.
