Aquarian New Moon Jan. 2012

The Sun has just moved into Aquarius on Friday, Jan. 20 and we move immediately into a New Moon at 2º triggering an early Chinese New Year on Monday accompanied by Mars going retrograde until April 13. A busy astrological weekend!
So, we leave behind the earth/water influences of Capricorn and Cancer (father and mother) of the last Full Moon cycle of Jan. 9 and enter the fixed power domain of Aquarius/Leo in air and fire signs. Each element, earth, water, air, fire has a power sign, and they are opposite each other forming a continuum. Tips to Dream a New Dream For Your Life
It is time to Dream A New Dream for ourselves, through the love and beauty of our hearts.
Allow the beauty of your enlightened heart of unconditional love and wisdom to take you inside and remember who you are, to bring that enlightened heart energy into your heart/mind and to dream and speak a new dream… one filled with only love, light, hope, beauty and amazing joy for life. Be centered in the peace that emanates from this beauty. There is nothing to do but dream from the place of the divine heart within ourselves. And when we do, we must know that only love can be born and expanded. Let this Being of Love give light and love to you and to your dreams.
The Ascension Goddess
The Ascension Goddess’ journey into form and presence came after over several weeks in 2007. I was teaching a class on Intuitive Painting: A Journey through the Chakras. I had finished teaching the first class of seven, which works with the root or base chakra. We had left over red and black paint, so I encouraged two assistants of mine who stayed after class to grab the extra paint, some boards, and have at it with some expressive painting. Just let come through what wanted to express… Get your mind out of it and play, let the paint and Spirit tell you what to do.
When I got the red and black onto the board, I thought, "Hmmm, you are interesting. I wonder if I will keep you and who you will become." And that was it until two weeks later. I set the board aside with just the red and black paint and forgot about it for a while.
Messages of Love
It was October 2004 when I finally honored my inner calling to more fully use my creative talents and abilities that I have had since birth. With the encouragement and assistance of my dear friend and most talented artisan Shiloh McCloud, I entered into a visualization to help me reconnect with my deep inner calling and creative juices. After only 20 or so minutes in a guided visualization, I entered my unused art studio and began painting again … after a hiatus of more than seven years. Not only did I begin painting again, but I also began using a new medium consisting of more brilliant colors than I had used before. These paints were vibrant, alive, intense pigments beyond what I had ever imagined in the past … including metallic pigments … taking my creativity to a new dimension … literally!

Einstein is a great example of someone who lived a life led by curiosity. He constantly asked questions of life and his relationship with the Divine, living life as a Divine Conversation.
If you live life with curiosity, your life will reflect and flow based on the questions you are asking…. giving you more than you expected you could receive. Your curiosity opens your imagination and the world of Spirit, or the Quantum field, to respond to you. Your curiosity creates a conversation with the Divine!

Ancient Ones, Timeless Teachings

Prior to a recent shamanic pilgrimage to ancient, sacred lands in Mexico I sat in my studio and inwardly connected to the ancient shamans and peoples who have for centuries walked this land in ceremony and ritual. I asked for a vision and guidance to prepare me for my journey. An image (to the left) began to flow onto the canvas, and I began to feel the guidance of a great shaman. He was a Master, fully awake and filled with Light, Wisdom and Love. Though male in presentation, I experienced an androgynous sense of this Being, completely balanced in the male and female energies. He told me he is a Huichol Mera ‘kame…. or shaman of the Huichol peoples. He is a teacher and is here to bring more light through his imagery and messages. He came to prepare me for my journey to Mexico. He told me I would only paint part of this painting now, and then finish the painting upon my return from the pilgrimage I was about to set off on.

Just Take One More Step…

As life flows in its ups and downs it seems like all we can do is sit down, tired from all the change, sometimes from struggle, and other times from the experience of great heights. In my journey of late, I have had amazing experiences on my shamanic path, feeling so very connected to Spirit and my guidance, with my one foot in the Spirit world, and the other in the physical world. And at times it seems challenging to traverse the physical world that wants to be linear. Yet, the magic of my shamanic path has reminded me all I have to do is "just take one more step…" and to look for the magic in the journey.
