Daniel Sperry, cellist, composer and evocateur will be bringing his irrational quest for beauty to Ft. Collins at Bas Bleu Theater, Thursday evening, Oct. 6th at 7:30 p.m., in a unique program of original cello music, and spoken poetry of Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, Billy Collins and others. Daniel has been offering this music and poetry evening across the country for the last year at house concerts, yoga studios and other venues – the Bas Bleu event will be concert number 110 of his Kneeling To Kiss The Ground Tour.

Some things people are saying about Daniel’s performances:

"Daniel Sperry brings a precious moment to remind us that all moments are precious, His cello weeps for our divine humanity when we are unable or unwilling to do so for ourselves"

" Daniel’s concert was simply magic. His from-the-heart down to earth presence was the soft and gentle context that we relaxed into together. His cello was a soothing, inspiring and grateful soul-whisperer, exploring inner landscapes of feeling. Daniel’s choice of poetry was yet another calling to the heart, coaxing us into rest. Wow!"

"Daniel Sperry’s concert with poetry last night was AWESOME. It’s an absolute "DON’T MISS". One of my favorite CDs is Coleman Bark’s "I Want Burning", poetry interspersed with music. This is even better. Don’t miss his concert. Trust me on this one."

Tickets are available by calling the Bas Bleu Theater at 970-498-8949. All seats are $20 and a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Geller Foundation, a local non-profit.
