The Full Moon in Virgo (sun in Pisces) is known as the Worm Full Moon. This name is reflective of the earth waking up from her long sleep when the worms come out of hibernation and begin to show activity. The energy of awakening is everywhere as spring is near. The Crow's Full Moon is another name used to honor the activity of the ravens and crows who are thought to be heralding the end of winter and the beginning of spring as they are cawing and speaking to us. Master Drum Making Katherine Skaggs will provide all materials, demonstration, and instruction to make your drum, within the setting of sacred shamanic ceremony. Within this ceremonial drum making you will have the opportunity to infuse your drum making process and the drum itself with prayers, blessings and intentions.
The drum is a beautiful instrument of the heart. It can be used for personal pleasure, shamanic healing work, drum circle gatherings, and shamanic journey work. The melodic beat moves you into trance-like, inward, meditative states for accessing wisdom, guidance, and the place of calm of the heart center.
In shamanic healing work the drum is known to bring in a powerful vibration that clears blocks in the energy bodies as well as opens the spiritual heart center. A practitioner may assist another in journeying to meet their spirit guides and totem animals for wisdom and healing, or may journey for the them. Drumming can move one out of the linear, left brain, into the frequency of peace obtained in meditation, which is also associated with the right brain.

It is time once again to gather for our New Years Eve Divination and Visioning is a Ceremony and Creative Visioning process. We'll work with the power of ceremony, ritual, curiosity, desire and the assistance of oracle cards, tarot cards, runes, and other divination systems. In the process we'll create our annual Endings for 2022 and Moving into 2023 Divination Map.
Say good-bye to 2022 in ceremonial style. As we let go of what has been, we'll use our divination mapping to bring awareness to the blessings and harvest of 2022, squeezing all the juice out of your experiences so you can get the GOLD out of 2022. We will truly say good-by to no longer serves us, releasing with grace and composting the old.

We will also meet virtually on Zoom once monthly at an agreed upon evening time for teleconference and check-in, to maintain and ground our teachings into our every day life, to build community and to gain support.

Ceremony, Graduation and Celebration. It is time for our harvest, our completion, graduation and honoring of the hard work and play we have put in learning together, creating tribe together, and preparing to move to the next level of experience in our lives. Plan on an all day affair, to recap your learning and use of your tools, to give gratitude, and to celebrate.
The morning will be set aside to honor our tools and what they have taught us so far, as well as how else we may take them into our personal practices, and any offerings we may choose to offer others.
Graduation DespachoIn the afternoon we will work with the Andean Medicine Ritual of a Despacho. This ceremonial ritual will be dedicated to the blessings for each student and the clan of your 2023 Artist Shaman Healer Sage as you go into the world. It will be a time for each student to offer blessings to each tribe mate in the ceremony, and to make an offering to Pachamama for the blessings to bring harmony to our clan and to all of our kin on earth.
Let's celebrate! You will bring some food to share with your tribe at the end of the day as you celebrate your transformation and honor one another.

The application process is really very simple. I am accepting students who are interested in the subject matter and course work. Monthly attendance for both the Saturday class and the zoom call is required, along with your desire to learn, your openness and willingness to adopt and try new practices monthly, and your agreement to put your best effort forth qualifies you to join the course. What you put into this class is what you get out of it. How you show up affects everything and everyone. You, the student, ARE the class! Everyone’s attendance brings great richness to the journey of all in the class.
There is nothing terribly rigorous about this shamanic course. However, you do need to be able to walk at least a mile on the flat lands in Colorado. It is also best if you are able to do short hikes in the foothills near Katherine's home. There will be a few short morning outings to be in nature, to gather her wisdom, energy, and often times found items. First class (weather permitting) there is a morning outing for some of the teachings and experiences. Other classes will have similar teaching opportunities outside when possible. Some may be in Katherine's backyard, some in the foothills.
Classes are held at Katherine Skaggs' studio in foothills in Fort Collins, Colorado.
An essential part of the energy exchange is your payment for the class. A deposit of $400 is required to hold your place in class, with five monthly payments of $280 starting at class April 22nd. Or a one time payment of $1695 is due to hold your place in class. A credit card is requested to have on file so we can run payments on the 1st of each month. If for any reason you don't want to continue in the course at any time during the six-month course, you agree to complete your financial agreement. If for any unseen reason you must drop out (such as due to illness or family crisis, each situation will be dealt with on a one-time basis per student to find the best outcome for all involved). Harmony and reciprocity are always held as guides for the highest and best outcome for all.

You will learn how to ceremonially make a Sacred Red Drum; The Herstory significance of the Red Drum, Women and Blood Mysteries; Spiritual Aspects of Drumming, Sacred 13, the return of the Divine Feminine; the heartbeat of the drum and the heartbeat of the Great Mother and all her wisdom; the significance of the color red; ceremony for waking your drum up and caring for your drum; the significance and blessing of the salt bowl ceremony; the spiritual Herstory of rhythm; deepened awareness of how ancient knowledge links to the importance of passion and the core sustenance of joy in our daily life.
What is the ceremony of the day?The day will be full of ceremony from beginning to end. Be cleaned and cleared energetically when all are gathered. An opening of the directions will create a sacred container for you and all who gather in this sacred day of honoring the Divine Feminine within and all around. There will be ceremony to honor your deer hide and all materials to make your sacred drum. A drum making demonstration specific to the red drum will be provided and then you will journey into your own creation of your Sacred Red Drum in ceremony as well as sound maker or mallet. You will also be gifted with a sacred salt bowl ceremony to participate in.
Your beautiful feminine Goddess energy; a towel that you don’t mind getting red color on; water bottle; snacks, and a sack lunch; an organic offering for the salt bowl that is meaningful to you and the group as a whole (flowers, herbs, small gems, crystals, et.)

This Full Moon Healing Circle is dedicated to clearing our Ancestral Line of trauma and fear that perpetuates cycles of pain and suffering. Your presence and contribution not only supports your personal healing, but also supports your ancestors who walked before you, as well as your children and others in your lineage who are here after your time on Earth. In addition to clearing old patterns that are born of fear, fright, and trauma, we will focus on calling in the blessings and gifts of our Ancestors, that we may receive them and illuminate them through our presence and life.
In these times of great change, chaos, and challenge in our culture, our country, and all around the world it is important to clear the pattern that contribute to separation and pain, and to call forth the blessings and healings that we can focus through our own lives. Gathering at the in a focused healing circle at the time of the Full Moon helps us to access the power of the Full Moon as a gateway to healing, transformation, release, and cleansing of what doesn't serve us any more. The light of the Full Moon gives us clarity of focus within so we may work with our deepest self consciously.
