Fall, also known as the West in the Medicine Wheel, is the time for Harvest, completion, graduation, endings, celebration, release, and death. It is the doorway to our Ancestors, and the place where we begin to move inward after our time in the summer sun. Within this time together we will celebrate the magic of the divine feminine with the wise council of women who’ve come together to support your harvest, release, healing, restoration, and illumination.
With Fall as our theme, you will be guided to Harvest the good from all aspects of your life, inwardly and externally, through ceremony, ritual, learning spaces, journaling, yoga, good food, walks in the woods, and private healing sessions with the practitioners of your choice.
Before dinner Saturday Kim and Katherine will lead a cauldron and fire ceremony to assist you in letting go of what no longer serves you. You’ll have an experiential learning opportunity to understand the power and importance of completion, composting, and releasing with the support of the West and the medicine of fire. This is an amazing healing ceremony that not only cleans and clears energy but also restores your life force.Prior to our time together you’ll get some prompts for personal homework to prepare for our time together, including but not limited to what to bring for the ancestral altar (sacred items that will return to you after the retreat); and items and offerings you may want to offer to the fire for releasing (obviously they will not return to you.)
Additional educational materials will be provided to prepare you for our time together.
And you will have an extensive retreat booklet loaded with resources, educational materials about the teachings of the weekend, meditations, and ritual and ceremony you can continue once you leave our time together.

What is the ceremony of the day?The day will be full of ceremony from beginning to end. Be cleaned and cleared energetically when all are gathered. An opening of the directions will create a sacred container for you and all who gather in this sacred day of honoring the Divine Feminine within and all around. There will be ceremony to honor your deer hide and all materials to make your sacred drum. A drum making demonstration specific to the red drum will be provided and then you will journey into your own creation of your Sacred Red Drum in ceremony as well as sound maker or mallet. You will also be gifted with a sacred salt bowl ceremony to participate in.
Your beautiful feminine Goddess energy; a towel that you don’t mind getting red color on; water bottle; snacks, and a sack lunch; an organic offering for the salt bowl that is meaningful to you and the group as a whole (flowers, herbs, small gems, crystals, et.)

If for any reason you have registered for this class and cannot attend, contact us in at least 21 calendar days prior to the beginning of the class/workshop to receive a full refund, or to receive a credit toward another class, service or product. Any credits must be used within six months. Class registration fees are non-refundable after the 21-day prior to start of class period offer listed above. The class or training may be cancelled on our end up to 14 days in advance of start date if enrollment is under our minimum. Fear, fright, and trauma create patterns that stop us in our tracks, distort our sense of self, and cause imbalances and energy leaks leading ultimately to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual illness. In the shamanic world this is known as Soul Loss. In the western medical world the symptoms of Soul Loss are often diagnosed as PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, any number of emotional ailments, and shock at first glance. Other symptoms include exhaustion, not feeling like oneself, lacking harmony, inability to feel happy or present to one’s life, and often lacking purpose or direction. To bring the soul back to their body and present time the tribal members give immediate loving attention, physical and emotional comfort, unconditional love, and all required to tend to that person’s needs. As the soul feels safe and loved they are able to come completely back to their body. Safety and love creates the frequency necessary for the healing and restoration.
When we don’t get this safe and loving energy for restoration we carry our trauma day to day. The trauma and soul loss can be from this life’s experiences, past life experiences, or ancestral trauma passed on from family member to family member, generation to generation.
You may or may not have any idea of having experienced a life trauma or fright. Yet you may see patterns in your family that reflect wounding, or you may not. I can assure you there is generational trauma whether you are aware of it or not. About Katherine SkaggsI have been creating art since I remember. I have photos of me drawing at age 3, always replicating life in one form or another. I began painting at age 14 with oils, then watercolors at 19, later to embrace the beautiful intensity of high quality Golden acrylic paints. As I began to explore the esoteric, mystical nature of the Universe, I began to move from realism to the expression of energy and spirit creating form. I dove deep into the metaphysical, spiritual aspects in life, in my late 20s, ultimately asking how my art and spirituality came together. The answer came in a vision and a download, Soul Portraits! Terrified I understood my place was to reflect the essence of one's soul in a painting with color, symbol, and the indication of energy and not just form. Simultaneously I was to channel story and words of the soul's 'bigness' to them, narrating the deeper meaning of the soul. I knew healing and soul restoration would come through the painting and the session.
Since the early 2000s I have been channeling goddesses, archangels, ascended masters, and other Divine beings who live in the etheric worlds but are here to help humanity.
Artist Jennifer CarmackMy journey as an artist like most artists has been a reflection of my experience of this world I exist in. I have worked as a yoga teacher and energy healer for over 20 years. I have had conversations with people about trauma, healing, energy systems and how the mind and body are reflections of all these aspects of ourself. And I feel like my art reflects that.
Whether I am inspired to spend time in a portrait or a mandala, work in acrylic or work in collage, I am drawn to look for the underlying layer. What each line in a face communicates, the road map for each symbol in a mandala that takes your into the experience of what is real and not just a hope for perfection. Connect with the spirit and essence of Tobacco in sacred ceremony and ritual. In this day of retreat, work with this sacred plant medicine teacher in silence, fasting and prayer. You will learn to invoke the Spirt of tobacco as your ally and as a powerful shamanic tool in your everyday life for clearing, cleaning and healing. Create a sacred relationship with tobacco, learning also to call it in for protection, and for assistance in creating greater boundaries and integrity in all areas of your life.
Tobacco is a sacred plant used by many indigenous peoples around the world. The sacred tobacco we work with is direct from the jungles of Peru. It is pure nicotine rustica, and is used by Peruvian shamans for clearing low frequency energies, such as trauma, unpleasant fear patterns, fright, as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. Tobacco is a very good plant ally to use for protection and raising your frequency when done in reverence for the sacred plant. It greatly assists sensitive, empathic people when used consciously as an ally, through prayer and with intention.
Arrive well hydrated and fasting from food.
This is a one-day prayerful diet with tobacco, with an opportunity to get to know it better as a spirit ally and powerful healing tool. You learn to smoke it prayerfully, and do not inhale the smoke. You can also opt in to pray with it as an ally and not smoke it all, as the relationship is not dependent on smoking it, but on how you honor it and call it in as a spirit ally.
This is a day of fasting. Prior to the beginning of the day diet with tobacco, you are requested to hydrate early morning. No food. You will be in prayer and silence all day with Tobacco until 3pm. (If you have blood sugar issues, hypoglycemia, or diabetes, please talk to Katherine for proper supervision and support.)
The day of prayer, fasting, and work with tobacco ends at 3pm. An organic soup, fresh fruit, vegetables, and GF bread are provided to break your fast and nourish you.
After eating, an integration of the group will be offered and a closing of the day of ceremony with tobacco. You will be free to leave by 5:30pm or sooner.

For those who would like to go deeper with Tobacco as your spirit ally, join for the two-day immersion with Tobacco. Day 2 will begin at 8am with ceremony and prayer to begin the day as it was in Day 1. At 3pm you will break the fast as with the day with an organic meal. Then we will do another integration, with a closing of the circle for the event.
In the jungles with the Shipibo tribe, the traditional Dieta with Tobacco is a 7-day diet. You actually consume a drink made of the tobacco leaves (prayed over by the shamans), as well smoke the mapachos (tobacco in what looks like cigarette form) in prayer. This offers you the opportunity to infuse your energy bodies with the plant intelligence and deepen into an ally relationship with the plant.
The two-day Tobacco Dieta offers a deeper experience with the plant for those who are interested in having Tobacco as a great protective and healing ally.

Katherine Skaggs, Shamanic Practitioner
Katherine Skaggs is a shamanic practitioner who has trained extensively with the Shipibo shamans from the Amazon jungles of Peru and their shamanic traditions since 2007. In her apprenticeship she has dieted with sacred tobacco and a ladder of other sacred plants from the jungle that assist energetically, spiritually and physically. The first plant to diet with is Tobacco.
"To get to know this plant, the shamans create a fresh pressed drink out the the leaves of the tobacco plant. Each day the shamans pray into the plant drink with prayers for the medicine to assist us, and for us to become allies with it and its powers. They would also put prayers into three mapacchos for us to work with each day. A mapaccho looks like a cigarette, but is not, as it is pure tobacco and only meant for prayerful use. Then we would pray into our tobacco drink (or whatever plant we were working with), and drink it down. We would then rest, fast, pray and dream during the day. We began at dawn and were in ceremony until 3pm. Then we could break our fast. We did this for 7 days, as that is the minimum time for the sacred relationship to be created, and for the plant to lay its energy matrix into our field."
Tobacco is sacred and not meant to be used mindlessly. It knows your prayers and will go to work for you if you hold it in its sacredness. And if you disrespect it, it will kill you! This class is to get to know Tobacco as a powerful ally, and to have a sacred relationship with it.

Katherine Skaggs will provide all materials, demonstration, and instruction to make your drum, within the setting of sacred shamanic ceremony. Within this ceremonial drum making you will have the opportunity to infuse your drum making process and the drum itself with prayers, blessings and intentions.
The drum is a beautiful instrument of the heart. It can be used for personal pleasure, shamanic healing work, drum circle gatherings, and shamanic journey work. The melodic beat moves you into trance-like, inward, meditative states for accessing wisdom, guidance, and the place of calm of the heart center.
In shamanic healing work the drum is known to bring in a powerful vibration that clears blocks in the energy bodies as well as opens the spiritual heart center. A practitioner may assist another in journeying to meet their spirit guides and totem animals for wisdom and healing, or may journey for the them. Drumming can move one out of the linear, left brain, into the frequency of peace obtained in meditation, which is also associated with the right brain.
You will leave with a finished drum and drum beater.
