Description
Shipibo Rattle - Owl
These hand-carved gourd rattles with the image of the Owl, also known as maracas, are beautifully crafted by the Shipibo tribe on the Amazon river in the jungles of Peru. The gourd is actually a large tree seed and the stick handle is made from the wood of the contaduro palm tree, decorated with parrot feathers. Each rattle is a ceremonial shamanic rattle also carved with protection icaros (song designs).
- Each rattle is always one-of-a-kind creation with its own unique sound.
- Carvings on each rattle may vary.
Owl Totem Medicine - The owl is known as the night eagle and well-known for wisdom and intuitive knowing. It has the ability to see through the darkness and illusion of ordinary reality, bringing clear sight and knowing. It is connected to the magic and mystery of life. It is also a fierce ally to eat fear and clean away trauma.
Rattles are excellent shamanic tools to call in your allies, to call in good energy, and even to use in soul retrieval ceremonies. Rattles are also great cleaning and healing tools. Shake your rattle with clear intention to clear the space in a room, in your house or office, on your land, and most of all through your aura, or the energy field of another. Use with intention to journey inward for answers, as well as to collect lost soul parts.
