Join the Fall Equinox Ceremony to harvest the wisdom of the year, release what has completed, and cross the threshold inward to the wisdom of the Soul.

The Fall Equinox is the gateway into the West of the Medicine Wheel. The Sun enters Libra and day and night meet at the threshold, but the deeper movement is toward increasing darkness. The inner movement into the night and the darkness is into the realm of mystery, gestation, ancestors, dreams, intuition, and the parts of yourself you can only encounter when you stop looking outward for illumination.

Harvest — Gather What Has Become Wisdom

Before entering the darker season, you gather your harvest. Not simply accomplishments. Wisdom.

What did this growing season teach you? What became stronger within you? What did you discover about your needs, boundaries, desires, relationships, creativity, body, or soul? What did you experience that changed you?

The question becomes: What wisdom am I harvesting from the life I have lived this year?

There is something important about claiming that before releasing anything. You don't want to throw the whole experience into the fire. You take the medicine first.

Compost — Return What Has Finished

Then comes the fire. The West teaches that death feeds life. Leaves fall. Plants return to Earth. Fruit decomposes. What appears to be an ending becomes fertile ground. That gives release a very different meaning.

You can ask: What has completed its purpose in my life? What am I willing to stop carrying? What can now become compost for the person I am becoming?

What to expect:

• Katherine Skaggs will smudge and clear your energy upon arrival.
• A medicine wheel circle will be opened to hold sacred space.
• You will then be invited to share what you are harvesting in your life at this time, what you are composting, and what you are leaning into to find the wisdom of your life journey.
• Harvest, Compost, Wisdom Ceremony - with the fire if weather permits
• There will be a drum journey and guided mediation with the West and ally of Owl
• Katherine will also offer a card reading if time permits

Fire Ceremony

The fire ceremony (if weather permits) will be a time to give offerings to the fire. It is a place to honor what we are harvesting at this time, as well as what we are releasing and composting in our lives that cannot go into the next cycles. It is also a place to be cleaned and illuminated in energy and medicine of the fire.

What to Bring for the Fire Ceremony

Organic offerings for the fire

• Herbs or plant materials of meaning (representing harvest and compost, blessings)
• Written prayers acknowledging your harvest
• Written prayers acknowledging what you are letting go
• Blessing for self, family and friends, and the world at large

The evening will end closing the medicine wheel
