The new moon cycles always mark a time of New Beginnings, a time to open a new chapter and introduce new ideas, new relationships, and new ways of being. Our last new moon of 2023 was in Sagittarius, giving us the fire we needed to be honest and brave, seeking knowledge as well as adventure and fun. This Capricorn New Moon adds the energy we need to jumpstart the hopes and dreams we are focusing on for 2024.

The influence of Capricorn energies in early 2024 are perfect for helping you set realistic New Year’s intentions — and then actually follow through on what you truly desire. Work with this down-to-earth energy to connect with your long-term goals, take responsibility, and tackle the projects that require a little extra structure and discipline.

Mars joins the sun in Capricorn on Jan. 4, bringing added stamina and zeal to the industrious vibes of the season. Having Mars in Capricorn will be just what you need to focus on what you want to create and then do the work needed that will jumpstart your drive to succeed and make progress on your desires.

Mercury joins the Capricorn party on Jan. 13, two days after the Capricorn new moon. This transit helps with clarity on your objectives, supporting practical thinking and plans to move forward.  This will be the time to clean up any communication messes that may have been made during the planet’s retrograde back in December.

If you haven’t quite gotten a grip on your New Year's goals, this New Moon Gathering will be just what you need to get going on your desires. This New Moon squares off with the North and South Nodes of Fate, challenging you to overcome the confines of your comfort zone and push toward a more spiritually fulfilling future.
